The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is low-cost, typically leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one organization is taking advantage of the to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
