Large amounts of unlicensed medicines have actually been taken by Department of during a search of a home in Glengormley.

A male was spoken with by department officers about unlawfully importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications via the internet.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: "It is crucial that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be harmful.

"These types of products being sold, usually online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no guarantee about their safety.
